Call it the iPhone 2.5. A German man whose significant other left him following a divorce has divided some of his possessions in half. The items that were split in the middle run the gamut from expensive (a car!) to cheap (a stuffed toy). Within that range you will find an Apple iPhone 5, which was sawed in half.
A video made by the jilted gent shows him using a saw to cut the iPhone 5 vertically, right down the middle. Translating some of the sentences written in German, the video says "Thank you for 12 ‘beautiful’ years Laura!!!! You’ve really earned half. Greetings to my successor."
Half of each cut item was put up for auction on eBay where oddly enough, many of them found buyers. Bidding on the halved Apple iPhone 5 (the side containing the camera, as it turns out) starts at the equivalent of $188.50 USD. So far, there are no takers.
