Snapdragon 412 powered Samsung Galaxy Mega On gets benchmarked

Back in August, we told you about the unannounced Samsung Galaxy Mega On. Sporting the SM-G6000 model number, the handset is an entry-level phablet for those whose budget can't accommodate the Samsung Galaxy Note5. As a result, the specs on the Samsung Galaxy Mega On aren't similar to what you'll find on Sammy's high-end phablet.

Before we run through the specs again to refresh your memory, we should tell you that the Galaxy Mega On has been put through the paces by the GeekBench3 benchmark test. The single-core score was 460, with a multi-core tally of 1367. The GeekBench3 test shows the phablet powered by the MSM8916, which is the Snapdragon 410. But the latter doesn't support the 1.4GHz clock speed posted by the Geekbench results. That points to the possibility that the Snapdragon 412 SoC as being under the hood. Of course, it is possible that the Snapdragon 410 was employed and overclocked. The truth will be revealed once the device is made official.

The rest of the specs include a 5.5-inch screen, with a 720 x 1280 resolution. 1GB of RAM is inside, along with 8GB of expandable storage. A 13MP camera graces the back of the phablet, while the 5MP front-facing snapper shoots selfies and handles video chats.

Pricing and availability remain unknown for the time being.
